from snow to desert to snow

The Whites came out this weekend and we had a lovely time. NASCAR at night at PIR and the WHOLE family came out. Joel & Chris, all 4 kids, one spouse and 2 grandkids. Josh and Emily came out Friday with the kids and stayed at our place. We made pizzelles after dinner. And of course, the kids helped.

Joel and Eszter had a great time and had a 'sleep over' in her room. It was so cute: his race car sleeping bag and her honey bear. They were reading and talking until we put our feet down just after 10. Saturday they were so tired, they were upset at every little thing, especially from each other. But they still had so much fun. Everybody else came into town in the early afternoon and headed out to PIR while Ashlee and I took care of the 5 kids...yes, FIVE! After a fairly quick, but highly welecomed nap and quiet time in the house, we walked to Coldstone's grand opening just around the corner. We didn't get the sweet cream, but J & E jumped in a bounce house. They sure needed to get some of that energy out!

We came back, fed babies, kids played outside (well, they were still over-tired and quite sensitive) and resorted to veggie tales movies before and after dinner. Though it was rough, it was a lot of fun. It solidified the idea of waiting until Sophia and Josiah were 2 or 3 before deciding if we will have more kids...5 kids age 3 and under...it's nice when you can send two of them home. Besides, what if the next time it's twins again...or even triplets!!

This morning, we had all of the Whites over for breakfast. It was such a blast. Ashlee told me this afternoon that it was great to entertain again. It was a great time with friends. The cool thing with the Whites, they are all friends; parents, siblings and all.

After breakfast Dawn and I gave Seth a mohawk. We used gel to enhance his natural hair pattern.

Josh and Emily came to church with us and then took us to Islands for lunch. Nummy, nummy.
All in all, we had a wonderful weekend.
