BIG babies

So we had an ultrasound today and it had good news and rough news. Great news is that the babies are about 6 lbs 10 oz and 6 lbs 6 oz. Rough news is that they are huge and so is Ashlee's belly. It's actually getting round. You know, the profile is round...but now, for her, it looks like someone took a mid-size beach ball and stuck it under her shirt! Really! She's that round! Also, one of them turned breach over the last week. Depending on the doctor on duty when Ashlee goes into labor, she has the very high chance that it would be a c-section. Some of the doctors have mastered the art of delivering the second breach, but others will only deliver them surgically.

She's in the middle of week 34. She is so tired and yearning to be home. Her body is hurting and she wants to be done. We do know for sure that this will be done within a week. On Wednesday morning at 12 am, the doctors will take her of the magnesium and trebudeline and let things progress how her body has tried for the last 3+ weeks.

Eszter is doing fair. This past week has really been tough. She hasn't been sleeping well and has really been off-kilter. It's been really hard to see her struggle and I'm trying my best to support and comfort, yet slightly push her to grow.

Stay tuned...
